This event is organized and promoted by the DOWNTOWN EVANSVILLE - Economic Improvement District (EID). Participants collect and keep 100% of their profits.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a cost to participate?
Yes, it is $25.00 for an assigned 20' x 10' space along Main Street. If you register to participate you will be notified by Friday, May 7 as to the location of your space. If you live or own a business within the EID boundaries there is no cost to participate. View the EID Boundaries Map.
When can I begin setting up?
Participants may begin setting up as early as 8 AM on May 8. The sale begins at 9 AM.
Where do I park?
Street parking is not monitored on weekends, so the posted time limits will not be enforced. There is no specific vendor parking area. Vendors are recommended to unload their items at their assigned location along Main Street and then park at a convenient space nearby.
Do I need to provide my own tables and chairs?
Yes, each participant is required to bring their own tables, chairs, and any other items needed for their display.
Will bank ATMs be open during the event?
Yes, banks throughout Downtown have ATMs that will be accessible during the event. For a complete list of ATMs please click ATM Locations on the Visitors tab of our website.
Will food be available for purchase?
Yes. In addition to our Downtown restaurants there will be food available for purchase from local food trucks Chino Taco, Divas Cookin, Queen B, and Random Fill-Ups.
Will there be restrooms available?
Public restrooms are available inside our shops and restaurants.
Will the event be rescheduled in the event of rain or inclement weather?
No, the Sidewalk Sale will not be rescheduled.
